How much distance is there between
Understanding?
Sometimes a thought…
Sometimes a word,
Or miles of conversation
That we’ve both heard…
How much time passes while
Misunderstanding?
Like navigating down,
When both our wheels
they hit the ground,
Inside we hope for a-safe-landing…
How much time passes when there’s no
Conversation?
Both of us stuck-in-hesitation…
One or both with reservations…
Time takes hold like always-never,
In your world it seems like Forever…
How much distance is there between
Me and You?
Before we add more paint and laugh
Sit waist-deep in bubble bath
Or throw our brushes to-the-wind,
Find someone else and start again?
The truth is there really isn’t any
Distance
Let me give you a-for-instance,
It’s just Me and You
Putting something
There
When we fail Love we
sometimes act like we don’t care
This is all the distance that occurs
No love but labels like “His & Hers”
How much distance is there between
Understanding?
A word we said?
A time not true?
There is simply no more distance
When it’s just
Me & You…
